This Privacy Policy explains how De-Stress and be HAPPY collects, uses, stores and protects personal and sensitive information in connection with our services, website, bookings, purchases, training and communications.
De-Stress and be HAPPY handles personal information in accordance with applicable Australian privacy law, including the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.

Information shared during counselling is also subject to the confidentiality arrangements and limits to confidentiality explained to counselling clients.

Cancellation list and other communications

You can ask to be removed from the cancellation list at any time.

Detailed client records maintained by De-Stress and be HAPPY are primarily kept as physical records at the practice.
Paper client records are stored in a locked filing cabinet within a locked room in a secured and alarmed building.
Electronic information required for bookings, communications, purchases, payments, accounting and business administration may be held or processed using password-protected third-party systems.
Reasonable steps are taken to protect personal information from loss, misuse, unauthorised access, modification or disclosure.
Online bookings — Bookeo
De-Stress and be HAPPY uses Bookeo to manage online bookings and related administration.
Information processed through Bookeo may include your name, address, date of birth, telephone number, email address, booking details and relevant payment or account information.
Full credit or debit card details processed through Bookeo are not made available to De-Stress and be HAPPY. Bookeo states that full card details are transmitted securely to the selected payment gateway and are not stored by Bookeo itself.
Payments
Payments may be made using a range of methods, including electronic bank transfer, cash and third-party payment services such as Square. Online payments may also be available through our booking or website systems.
When card payments are processed electronically through third-party payment systems, De-Stress and be HAPPY does not receive, have access to or retain your full credit or debit card details or PIN.
Payment and transaction information required for invoicing, receipts, accounting and business administration may be recorded in our accounting and business systems.
In some circumstances, such as processing a refund, you may provide additional payment or banking information necessary to complete the transaction. This information will only be used for the purpose for which it was provided and handled in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
In the uncommon situation where card details are provided directly to De-Stress and be HAPPY by telephone for the purpose of processing a payment, those details will be used only to process that transaction and will not be retained after the transaction has been completed.
Website and online purchases — Wix
The De-Stress and be HAPPY website is operated using Wix.
Information may be collected or processed through Wix when you interact with the website, submit information, make a purchase or use other website functions.
Where a purchase requires administration, delivery or other fulfilment by De-Stress and be HAPPY, relevant customer, order and transaction information may be provided to us so that we can complete the purchase.
Accounting — MYOB
De-Stress and be HAPPY uses MYOB for accounting and financial administration.
Relevant customer, invoice, payment, deposit, credit and transaction information may be recorded or processed through MYOB where necessary for accounting, taxation and business administration purposes.
Disclosure of personal information
De-Stress and be HAPPY does not sell or rent client personal information or email addresses to third parties.
Personal information may be disclosed where reasonably necessary to provide or administer a service, process a payment or transaction, operate the business, meet professional or accounting requirements, or where disclosure is required or authorised by law.
Information may also be processed by service providers used in operating De-Stress and be HAPPY, such as booking, website, payment, accounting and communication providers.
In some circumstances, personal or health information may be disclosed where there is a serious concern for the life, health or safety of you or another person, or where disclosure is otherwise required or authorised by law. Where appropriate and practicable, we will seek to discuss these concerns with you and work with you to access appropriate support.
Counselling clients are also provided with information about confidentiality and the circumstances in which confidentiality may be limited.
Overseas processing
Some technology providers used by De-Stress and be HAPPY operate internationally. As a result, personal information processed through these services may sometimes be stored, accessed or processed outside Australia.
For example, Square identifies a number of overseas locations in which information may be processed or stored, including the United States, Canada, Japan, Ireland, France, Spain and the United Kingdom. MYOB identifies overseas recipients including New Zealand, the Philippines and the United States.
Technology providers and their data-handling arrangements may change from time to time.
Accessing or correcting your information
You may request access to personal information De-Stress and be HAPPY holds about you or ask us to correct information you believe is inaccurate, incomplete or out of date.
