Reiki Mastery is the third level of your Reiki training and an opportunity to take your understanding further.
By this stage, you've already developed the foundations of Reiki through Level One and expanded your knowledge and practical skills through Level Two. Reiki Mastery gives you the opportunity to bring that learning together, deepen your understanding and explore the Master-level teachings and practices.
Some students complete Reiki Mastery because they would eventually like to teach Reiki. Others undertake the course because they want to continue their own learning and develop a deeper understanding of the Reiki practice they already use.
You don't need to know that you want to become a Reiki teacher before taking this next step.

What you'll learn in Reiki Mastery
During Reiki Mastery we'll explore:
Reiki Mastery brings together your experience from Levels One and Two while introducing the Master-level teachings and the skills involved in teaching and attuning others.

The Reiki Master symbol and its uses — understanding and working with the Level Three symbol and how it can be incorporated into your Reiki practice.

Reiki Mastery attunement — receiving your Level Three attunement, which within Reiki teaching is understood to significantly increase the level of Reiki energy you are able to work with and transmit through your system. At Master level, you'll also learn additional ways of consciously working with Reiki, including how to perform Reiki attunements for others.

Advanced Reiki practice — bringing the knowledge, symbols and techniques you've developed across all three levels together through practical Reiki work.

Understanding the complete Reiki pathway — revisiting the teachings from Levels One, Two and Mastery and seeing how the different stages build upon one another.

Learning Reiki attunements — understanding the attunement processes used for Reiki Levels One, Two and Three.

Practising attunements — learning and practising how to perform Reiki attunements with another person.

Teaching Reiki Levels One, Two and Three — exploring what needs to be taught at each level and how learning can be structured to support students as they progress.

Developing your own Reiki training — considering how you might structure and present your own courses if you choose to teach Reiki in the future.

Reiki lineage and certification — understanding Reiki lineage and the connection of your training back to Mikao Usui.

We'll also look closely at the training itself — not just what is taught, but why.
We'll work through the manuals from all three Reiki levels, distinguishing the traditional Reiki teaching from additional practical information I've chosen to incorporate through my years of working with clients and students.
We'll explore why that information is included and how it can help you develop your skills and understanding, whether you eventually choose to teach Reiki or simply want to deepen your own practice.
What your Reiki Mastery weekend looks like
Saturday Morning — Stepping into Reiki Mastery
We begin with the Reiki Master-level teachings, including the Master symbol, its meaning and uses, and the additional ways of consciously working with Reiki at this level.
We'll explore how Mastery builds upon the knowledge and experience you've developed through Levels One and Two and begin bringing the three levels of your Reiki training together.
Saturday Afternoon — Experiencing Master-level Reiki
The afternoon is practical. You'll have time to experience and work with the Master-level energy, incorporate the Master symbol into your Reiki practice and explore the additional techniques introduced during the morning.
You'll continue giving and receiving Reiki, allowing you to experience the Master-level work from both perspectives and ask questions as you practise.
Reiki Mastery is taught over two days, combining Master-level theory, practical experience and the skills involved in teaching and attuning others. During the weekend, you'll receive your Reiki Master attunement as part of your progression into Master-level Reiki.
As with Levels One and Two, the mornings are primarily about learning, understanding and discussion, while the afternoons give you the opportunity to experience, practise and apply what you've been learning.
Sunday Morning — Understanding the complete Reiki pathway
Sunday morning is a little different.
We'll work through the Reiki Level One, Level Two and Mastery training manuals together, revisiting the complete training pathway and looking not only at what is taught, but why it is taught that way.
I'll explain which material forms part of the Reiki teaching itself and where I've incorporated additional practical knowledge from my years of working with clients and teaching students — and why I believe that information is valuable.
If you're considering teaching Reiki, this gives you a deeper understanding of how a Reiki course can be structured and taught. If you have no intention of teaching, it is still a valuable opportunity to revisit, connect and consolidate what you've learned across all three levels.
Sunday Afternoon — Learning to teach and attune others
The final afternoon moves into the practical skills involved in becoming a Reiki Master and teacher.
You'll learn the attunement processes for Reiki Levels One, Two and Mastery, including how the different attunements are performed, and you'll have the opportunity to practise the processes yourself.
We'll also explore the practical considerations involved in teaching Reiki, developing your own training material and supporting students as they progress through the different levels.
You'll have plenty of opportunity to ask questions, practise and discuss how you may choose to use your Mastery training in the future.
You don't need to become a Reiki teacher to benefit from Mastery — but you'll leave with a much deeper understanding of the Reiki you've been learning and practising throughout all three levels.
Completing Reiki Mastery
Reiki Mastery marks the completion of all three levels of your Reiki training.
Over the weekend, you'll bring together the knowledge and experience you've developed through Reiki Levels One and Two, while learning the Master-level teachings, techniques and attunement processes.
At the end of Day Two, you'll receive your Reiki Master certificate, recognising the completion of your Reiki Mastery training, along with your Reiki lineage tracing your training back to Mikao Usui.
Your Mastery training gives you the knowledge and practical foundations to continue working with Reiki at Master level and, if you choose, to begin developing your own Reiki training and teaching others.
For some students, Reiki Mastery becomes the beginning of teaching.
For others, it is the completion of a learning journey they wanted to undertake for themselves.

Completing Reiki Mastery marks the end of the three-level Reiki training pathway — but what you choose to do with your Reiki from here is entirely your own.
You may choose to continue developing your own Reiki practice, work professionally with clients, begin teaching and supporting your own students, or simply allow everything you've learned to become part of the way you use Reiki in your everyday life.
Mastery isn't really about reaching an ending. It's about having the knowledge, skills and experience to decide where you would like to take your Reiki next.
