It's natural to have questions before trying something new.

If you're considering kinesiology, it's completely normal to have questions.

Whether you're wondering what happens during a session, whether kinesiology is right for you, or simply feeling unsure about taking the first step, you'll find answers to many of the questions people ask before booking their first appointment.

1. How do I know if Kinesiology is right for me?

You don't need to be certain before booking.

Many people come because they've reached a point where they feel they've tried many different approaches without finding the answers they're looking for. Others simply recognise that something feels "off" and want to better understand what's contributing to it.

Your first appointment is about exploring your concerns together and deciding whether kinesiology is the right support for you.

2. What if I can't explain what's wrong?

That's actually very common.

Many people tell us they know something isn't quite right, but struggle to put it into words. You don't need to arrive with all the answers or even a clear explanation.

We'll simply begin with a conversation about what's been happening in your life, what you've noticed, and what you would like to be different. From there, we'll work together to explore what may be contributing to those challenges.

3. I've already tried so many things. Could kinesiology still help?

Many of the people who come to Kinesiology have.

They may have spoken with health professionals, tried different therapies, read countless books or spent months—or even years—searching for answers.

Kinesiology doesn't replace medical care or other therapies. Instead, it offers another way of exploring the connections between your physical, emotional and mental wellbeing, helping uncover factors that may not have been considered before.

4. Do I have to believe in kinesiology for it to work?

No.

You don't need to "believe" in kinesiology or understand everything about it before your first appointment.

Many people come simply because they're curious or open to exploring another approach. The most important thing is being willing to participate honestly in the process and work together towards your personal outcomes.

5. Can I continue seeing my doctor, psychologist or other health professionals?

Absolutely.

Kinesiology is designed to complement, not replace, appropriate medical or allied health care.

Many clients continue working with their GP, psychologist, physiotherapist or other practitioners while also having kinesiology sessions. Where appropriate, these approaches can work alongside each other to support your overall wellbeing.

6. Will I need more than one appointment?

Every person is different.

Some people come with a specific concern they'd like support with, while others are looking to create longer-term changes in their health and wellbeing.

During your first appointment we'll discuss why you would like to try Kinesiology and what you hope to achieve. You and your kinesiologist together, will decide what feels like the most appropriate way forward.

There is never any obligation to book additional sessions.

7. Is Kinesiology suitable for children?

Yes.

Kinesiology can be adapted for people of all ages, including children.

Appointments are always tailored to the individual, taking into account their age, personality and needs.

Parents are welcome to ask questions beforehand and be choose to present during the appointments,  so they feel comfortable with the process.

It is advisable for parents of young children to always be present at the appointment with their child.

8. What happens if I'm still unsure?

That's perfectly okay.

Choosing a practitioner is an important decision, and it's completely understandable to want to feel confident before booking.
